I've been meaning to get this done for ages, but could never find a theme I liked enough, or finish the one I was working on. But today I found a good one to use as a base - Mag by Cory Watilo. A bit of CSS hacking and reorganising later and we've got what you're looking at now. I fannied about with the logo, moved the search box to the bottom, fiddled with some spacing and made the bottom section a full bar. Still a few things to improve (especially with fonts), but it's better than the old lilac thing.

Best of all - the new logo. Lettering by me, centre crest by the ever-excellent @foomandoonian. Yay!
