Minecraft has been updated to Beta 1.5, breaking my server because it
relies on CraftBukkit and WorldEdit (and they've not been updated
whilst the Bukkit team wait for some show-stopping bugs to be fixed).
So... back to single player for a few days. This means Jack and I have
had a chance to try out some of the new features, the favourite of
which are booster tracks (something that should've been in place ages
ago and finally gives gold a bit more purpose) and weather.

Oh, the weather!

The weather is beautiful. Really! Pixelated loveliness. We had snow
turn to rain (with thunder and lightning). We dashed into a terrace
house we built some time back near a mountain and watched the rain and
lightning outside. It was a fantastic simulation of rainy Welsh Sunday
afternoons. We put the avatar to bed; when we woke up all the weather
had finished weathering, and snow had settled all over our village.

Brilliant.
